What this site does
with what it learns about you.

The short version

Most of this site is something to read, and reading it leaves us with your visit and little else. There are three places where that changes, and each has its own section below: booking a meeting, creating an account, and analytics.

We sell nothing about you and we share nothing for advertising. That has always been true and it stays true.

This policy covers this website. The platform customers log into is governed by the agreement their company signs with us, which is a separate document.

What we receive

If you only read, we receive your visit — the pages you opened, roughly where you are, and what brought you here, through the analytics described below. No name, and nothing that identifies you personally.

If you book, the details you enter go to Zoom, who run the calendar. We see the booking the way anyone sees a meeting in their own diary: your name, your email, the time you chose, and which part of this site you came from so that the person meeting you knows whether you run a team, sell title, or consult for the industry.

Booking through Zoom

The scheduling calendar on the contact page is Zoom Scheduler, embedded from scheduler.zoom.us. When you pick a time there, the details you enter go to Zoom and are handled under Zoom’s privacy statement as well as this one. Zoom sends the calendar invitation and creates the meeting link.

If that calendar is held back by your company network or a browser extension, the page offers a direct link to the same calendar. There is no alternative form and no other route — booking happens in Zoom either way.

One thing worth stating plainly. If you arrived on a personalized link that already carries your name, email or phone, those values are passed to the Zoom calendar in the address it loads, so the booking arrives already filled in. They are your own details, going to the company you are about to book a meeting through, and they travel in the link you were sent. Open the plain link at thegenie.ai/contact.html and nothing is passed at all.

Creating an account

The page at thegenie.ai/start.html creates a free agent account. It asks for your state, your MLS board, your last name and your email address.

Those go to our own platform at app.thegenie.ai, which creates the account against your MLS roster record and then takes you to its own registration page to finish. Your roster search runs against that same platform as you type, so it sees the letters you type and the board you picked.

The account you create is governed by the platform agreement rather than by this policy, and the campaign the visit came from travels with it so we know the account started here.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how this site is used — which pages people open, which buttons get pressed, and where visits come from. It sets cookies in your browser and Google receives your IP address as part of that.

We use it to make the site better rather than to build a profile of you, and we sell nothing and share nothing for advertising. You can switch it off with any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics, and the site works exactly the same either way.

Google handles that data under Google’s privacy policy as well as this one.

What this site keeps in your browser

One panel on this site offers a free account, and if you close it we remember that in your browser so it stays closed. That is stored on your own device under tg_signup_panel, it holds a single yes, and it never reaches us. Clearing your site data removes it.

Cloudflare, Google Fonts and our own services

Cloudflare serves this site and runs the small function that forwards your booking request. In doing so it processes your IP address and standard request information, the way any web host does.

Google Fonts serves the two typefaces this site uses, so Google receives the request for those font files, including your IP address. Every other file on every page — the stylesheet, the script, every image — is served from this site itself.

Two of our own services are called from these pages. app.thegenie.ai answers the MLS roster lookup and creates accounts, as described above. myneighborhood.re serves the live market embeds on the collection page, and it receives the request for each embed including your IP address. Both are ours.

The other embed on the site is the Zoom calendar on the contact page, described above.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will do it. Write to [email protected].

California residents have those rights under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, including the right to know, to delete, to correct, and to be treated the same whichever of them you use. We sell no personal information and we share none for cross-context behavioral advertising.

The analytics described above set cookies. If you would rather they did, any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics will stop them, and everything on this site keeps working.

Children

This site is for real estate and title professionals doing their work. It is aimed at adults and we ask for information only from people who choose to contact us about their business.

Changes, and how to reach us

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of the page changes with it and the new version replaces this one here.
